It was my first time trying this salon. For months I passed by but was nervous to have a new person touch my hair. From the signage I can tell the stylist was Dominican which I prefer because they know how to work with my hair texture. I have several hair stylists in my family who’ve worked and owned hair salons for decades so my standards are very high. Let me tell you - Jackie is the real deal. She was very nice and considerate of my time. When washing my hair she was very gentle and checked in with me to see how hard I wanted her to scrub. She then put my hair in rollers and put me under the hair dryer. I had mentioned to her that I couldn’t tolerate high heat on my scalp so she checked in on me after a while and lowered the setting for me to make sure I was comfortable. Once my rollers were dry she combed my hair through and cut my ends all while keeping my length. I could tell she was a pro at blow drying because she was super gentle, no hair pulling, no burning, she parted my hair in sections and she switched from comb to brush to hair iron with so much ease. She even wrangled my rebellious baby hairs and greys to complete my polished looks. I will definitely be a returning customer.

I normally don't go out of my way to write a review let alone a bad one, but this is one of those exceptions. One of my best friends, who is getting married soon, came here to freshen up her hair as she prepares for the next few months of stressful wedding planning. She asked for a hair cut, blow and dry on her thick curly hair. She did not ask for any extra treatments as she just wanted her hair to be healthy, and to continue growing out her thick springy curly hair. When the hair job was finished the hair cut was supposed to have layers, instead it was uneven and choppy and did not reflect what layers should look like. She was absolutely devastated. That was the first of many problems to come for the next couple of weeks. A few days later when it was her first wash day for her after the salon visit, she experienced losing chunks of hair, it was stripping out in lots of chunks. When she did her regular curl routine she noticed her hair wasn't curling. For the next couple of weeks she continued to lose chunks of hair after every wash and her hair began to become super dry and brittle and she lost her curl pattern. So not only did they give her a terrible hair cut, but from the looks of it they also added a perm treatment to her hair or use a strong treatment chemical when she didn't ask for it. I don't understand how you can let a client walk out the salon with a terrible hair cut like that and not try to fix it. Really unprofessional and untrustworthy. Don't risk coming here and entrusting your hair at this facility. It seems like they're an overall ok salon but from the looks of other reviews this isn't the first time something like this has happened.

Worse hairdressers I’ve ever been to. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did her own thing. She dyed my hair and my roots came out orange and my ends were pink. She ruined and damaged my hair. 0 hospitality - she kept complaining to her coworkers. They do not know how to do balayage or color hair. The process took 6 hours and I was not happy at all with the end result.
